Leptosirosis is a disease of bacterial origin transmitted mainly by rodents and transmissible to humans. Very contagious, this disease attacks the kidneys and liver and in the most serious cases, it can lead to the death of the animal. The main symptoms are listlessness, abdominal pain and loss of appetite.
The Astéria Leptospira tests are new generation molecular tests allowing the detection of a fragment of the pathogen’s genome in a reliable and rapid way in order to obtain indications on the presence or absence of the pathogen(s) incriminated in the appearance of the observed clinical signs.
Unlike conventional PCR reactions, Asteria tests are performed in just a few steps, on a portable and easy-to-use reading system. The result can therefore be obtained in less than 40 minutes, at the clinic or in the field.
